Painting, for me, is freedom; freedom from the challenges of everyday life and freedom from monotony. Painting provides the opportunity to break away and step beyond boundaries and escape all inhibitions. Art is not doing what others want you to do but it is about being yourself, and I love that. My love for art is shown in every piece of artwork I produce.
My inspiration stems from God. Everything that I have been blessed with, I cannot take credit for. If it were not for the Lord I wouldn’t be able to inspire others through my paintings. I am living proof that you can do anything you put your mind to as long as you have God leading your path. My paintings express love, joy, peace, happiness, and most of all faith. Together, these components combine to create a fruitful and prosperous life.
In a sense, I compare myself to a chef. A chef takes pride in the work that he does and preparation and seasoning are key. Colors resemble seasoning and I have been blessed to be able to “taste” the colors and add just enough to create the perfect dish. I wish to share this sense of faith, freedom and family with others now. Each work you will see has been inspired, each scene frozen in time. I hope you can enjoy them as I have.
Hebrews 11:1 states the definition of faith. “Faith is the substance of all things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” There have been times where I have felt the need to give up, but I held on to my faith. This is something that I would like to in still in everyone who view my paintings.
